Although we are "retiring" Roxy sometimes better known to us "Queenie"in 2013, She has been the inspiration and tne reason "Rascal Flats Labs" was founded. She portrayed so many of the" wonderful" labrador traits we all love, we felt she was the "whole package". Coming from some pretty strong field lines and stacked pedigree, her Mom and Dad have many titles behind their names, as well as her Grandparents. The owner of Roxy's Grandsire cantacted me when he stumbled upon our website and was happy to inform me of how wonderful a dog that Gideon and Toby were.... He wrote...."

These were two of the most exception Labradors I have ever known.
Both extremely gentle, well proportioned, true companions and working gundogs without equal.
Gideon earned his NAHRA MHR title at 23 months of age, passing each of the
prequalifying tests 16 straight!
Gideon was rarely more than 10ft from my side for his entire life. He flushed and retrieved 1000's of wild birds.

When it comes to a dog that "Loves" to work, Roxy can not be beaten. She has exceptional retriever skills, she's kinda like a little wind-up toy..she keeps going, and going, and going...You very rarely see her without something in her mouth that could be used for a quick game of fetch! And if her mouth is empty, she usually has her nose to the ground scouring the yard looking for something to throw! She doesn't care what it is as long as you can throw it and she can bring it back! She's a natural water lover and can't go past a puddle with out testing it, and of course, tossing a stick in the puddle is even better. She is usually so covered in mud, that she knows after she's been in the slough, she goes directly to the garden hose and waits for us to wash her off before she comes in the house. She has passed on alot of her traits to Gunner and Bailey, and I am told that a number of her babies have gone on to be exceptional hunters, learning very quickly with not much training involved.
A typical day for Roxy is as much time as she can spend outside checking everything out, retrieving anything she can find,reitring to the couch for the evening to relax, and then of course, sleeping in our bed, with her head either on the pillow or on me! Yes, we know she is a little "spoiled", but she has that sweet loveble personality that you can't say "no" to.
Roxy, is truly are an amazing example of the breed in everyway, and it will be a sad day for us when we retire her, But, we do have Gunner and Bailey, to carry-on her legacy.

Cob is a Master Hunt level dog as well as having his Working Certificate Excellent. He ran in the 2008 Canadian Master National. He is an extremely strong, hard going, focused, gun dog. Nothing stands in Cob's way when he has work to do. He LIVES to work and LOVES to please. He weighs close to 80 pounds. Hips are rated excellent and eyes are clear, EIC Clear. Cob has consistently sired pups that have gone on to be quality working dogs in many areas including hunting, police work, search and rescue, and active pets as well.

Maxx is arguably the best sire the most prepotent sire of this era. Records show, in 2006, 8 dogs sired by him with 9 National wins. Five of these national wins occurred in the Canadian National Open and Canadian National Amateur. Names of titled offspring exceed 110 are too many too list here, but one bears mentioning. Chena River Chavez appears to have inherited the ability to pass on good genes to his offspring.
